The new M-Track interface by M-Audio transforms your laptop or desktop computer into a plug-and-play digital recording studio with 24-bit / 48 kHz sound quality. M-Track is equipped with multiple input connections to deliver the best results with any type of audio source. Each channel features an XLR input and a balanced 1/4" jack: the XLR input is designed specifically for use with microphones or other Lo-Z sources. The dedicated 48V phantom power switch provides the necessary power for professional condenser microphones. The 1/4" jack input can receive line-level signals such as synthesizers and drum machines, or instrument-level signals like electric guitars and basses. Each channel has its own gain knob to ensure the correct input level.

Additionally, the handy insert connectors—typically found in high-end studio preamps—can be used to insert external effects processors such as compressors, equalizers, and more during recording. M-Track allows zero-latency monitoring of input signals through both analog outputs and headphones. Thanks to the MONITOR MIX knob, which balances the input signal and playback from your software, and the headphone output with independent volume control, achieving better recordings becomes easier.

It also features MIDI input and output with 16 simultaneous I/O channels, perfect for connecting master keyboards or hardware synthesizers. M-Track’s multi-color level indicators provide an instant visual reference for output signals.
