The Wolf 3 is a heavy duty all purpose bow. Mongol bow design features the addition of string bridges. Measuring 57 inches tall both unstrung and strung with a 55 inch string. Weighs 1 lb. 11 oz. The ingenuity of Mongolian generals and the use of horse and bow in battle established the Mongols as a world power.
The bow which the Mongols used belonged to the Asian composite bow tradition because the bamboo core had sinew on the back and horn on the belly. Animal glue held these layers together. The Mongols drew their bows with their thumbs, while the index and middle fingers reinforced the grip around the sting, a method known as the “Mongolian draw.”
